Fitting your military experience into a Federal career
Preparing your military resume for your next job needs to be done in a way that the Federal employer can understand. Because the Federal Government is structured similarly to the military system with understandable career paths, clear-cut rank advancement opportunities with defined salaries per grade (GS Grade levels), you have a statistically better “fit” into that system.
Utilizing the Battlefield Resume Methodology (BRM), you can “zero your weapon” (aka: resume) quickly by using my downloadable bullets to help target your federal resume more effectively. I created the BRM working as a Federal Government GG15 Hiring Manager. The BRM is a unique strategic process to help vets and transitioning military get their resumes right without diminishing their talents, training, and expertise in translation.
My downloadable bullets are a “short-cut” of sorts. You can take any military position (ex: Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Squad Leader, S1, S2, S3, S4, etc.) and download the pre-written bullets and keywords for your specific specialty; then put them into your resume. The bullets have the federal language already translated for you. If you need help, I can coach you on how to target your resume even further to the specific federal government job you want. Coaching, interviewing skills and other career search tactics are part of the operations plan I provide.
Battlefield Resumes caters to the needs of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Intelligence Community and other related agencies that advertise on USAJOBS who are familiar with your military expertise and competencies.
